Matilda, offered by the Antolick Family as a White Elephant Holiday Gift at the Marching Band Pit Crew Holiday Party in December 2007, was heatedly bartered in a game of chance at this Holiday Party.
Originally Matilda was selected by the Bushey family as their gift of choice in the White Elephant Gift Exchange, but was later subsequently stolen by the Benitez family per White Elephant Gift Exchange rules.
Heated differences followed and the custody battle for Matilda's ownership had started.
For the past few years of her life, Matilda has been hanging out in family basements in her trusty cardboard box as pictured below.
After heated artistic differences with her owning families and ensuing custody battle between families over her ownership, Matilda made her first artistic debut at Century High School at the KIDA Indoor Guard Preview Show in January 2008 taking stage by the food concessions cash register looking cute and getting donations from Matilda's fans of well wishers.
Upon completion of the KIDA Indoor Guard Preview Show, Matilda signed under new management and new family custody arrangements and is no longer hanging out in the basement in cardboard boxes.

Upon completion of her spring tour, Matilda will kick back and relax and count her donations and give all of her tour proceeds to the CHS Music Boosters at their June meeting.
