Call to Order
The Music Boosters meeting was called to order at 7:30p.m. by John Bushey. “The History of the Century Music Program” was viewed by the membership throughout the meeting. Maureen and Teri did a GREAT job putting this presentation together. Thank you ladies!
Secretary’s Report
Sharron Antolick read last month’s minutes and they were approved by Scott Stewart and Traj Antolick.
Treasurer’s Report
Scott Stewart presented the budget. The original budget projects are continually being updated to accommodate the year’s actual expenditures.
Drama has not paid their portion of the Pit conductor’s fees ($500) to date.
Program equipment expenses paid total $3,000
Marching Band staff bonuses have been paid in the amount of $1250.Have
Some of the Indoor Performance Ensemble has not paid fees to date. Invoices will be sent home.
Our investments continue to do well and have profited approximately $500 to date.
Bob motioned to approve the Treasurer’s report and John seconded.
Music Director’s Report/Choral Director’s Report
No director’s were present for tonight’s meeting.
Jazz Night and Jam Session is being held May 8th. Mike Taldo is working with Coffey Music to coordinate this event. Vendor demonstrations and a PRS guitar seminars are still possibilities. Various musical groups from Century will perform along with the Indoor Performance Ensemble. Master classes will be pursued.
Cookbooks will be sold prior to the spring concerts.
Candle Sales will be pursued next school year.
Pizza Hut Nights will resume for the Music Boosters according to Deanne
GL Scrip card program $32 profit last month . POC is Mary Laulis. A list of all participating businesses is available at www.glscrip.com. Mary can be reached at mlaulis@verizon.net. Orders will be placed the last Wednesday of every month so that cards may be distributed at the following Thursday Booster meeting. It is very easy to place an online order and use PrestoPay (which deducts the card total from your checking account. There is a $0.39 charge to use PrestoPay.) Otherwise, simply order online using our code: LF7L317611982 and put a check made out to CHS Music Boosters in the band room box for your total.
Clothing Sales Christine Fallon received invoices and will pursue.
Refrigerator Magnets and Pens were presented by Heather and will be available for purchase along with clothing.

eScrip. By using loyalty club cards (i.e. Safeway Club Card), credit cards (i.e., Macy’s credit card or Macy’s Visa card), and debit cards that have been registered with eScrip. There is a 6-step process to register any cards you feel comfortable registering with the program. Please register

This is a very simple way to raise money for the CHS music program! This fundraiser has the possibility of ongoing success but needs to be better promoted.
Choral-Dawn- Concert is April 30th.
Band/Orchestra-Marty not present. Laura Moses volunteered to be the new orchestra liaison. Welcome Laura
The Pit orchestra did a great job enhancing the Spring Musical “Oliver!”
Spring Concert will be held on April 30 for Orchestra and May 7 for Bands.
Marching Band-Jim Kelly reported that our first USSBA show will be held late September 2009 and already has 7 bands registered. USSBA State Championships will be held mid October.
Maureen will take care of the Senior Breakfast Recognition. Cookies, juice and certificates will be provided. She will also schedule the event.
John will update forms for this year’s Music Scholarships. The Scholarship committee will consist of Christine Fallon, Mary Laulis and Judy Bushey. 3 scholarships in the amount of $500 each will be awarded. May 9th is the deadline for applications.
Next Meeting
Will be held May 5th at 7:30.
