CHS Music Boosters Special Meeting

A special meeting was called by the Music Director for
December 10, 2007 to provide backup information requested at the December 6,
2007 Music Booster Meeting.
Music Director’s Report
- Mr.
Askew presented information in support of contracting with FFP to take our
music program “to the next level”. He presented projected expenses through
August 2008 of $13.939. This includes Indoor Guard, Transportation for
Indoor Guard, Consultation Fee for 2008 marching
band show, and scholarship awards.
Mr. Askew projects income from now through August 2008 as $25,075.
This includes Indoor guard fees (both for senior level at CHS and junior
level from Sykesville Middle), indoor band, CHS hosted indoor show on Jan
26th, Pops Concert in May 2008, marching band fees, and Bingo
in May 2008. Based on Mr. Askew’s projected income and expenses the
attending Music Boosters parents were advised by the Music Director and
Assistant Director to accept the contract with FFP. A total of $2,000 will be sent to FFP as
soon as possible to activate the contract. The remainder of the contracted
amount ($7,050) will be awarded via the CCPS Purchasing Office. The Music
Boosters organization will need to aggressively approach fund raising to
meet the amended budget line item of $9,050. A motion was made by Suzanne
Reamer to accept the 2007-2008 Budget line change and seconded by Ed
Benitez.
Next Meeting
- The next
scheduled Music Boosters meeting will be on January 3rd at 7:30
p.m. The Executive Board will meet at 6:30 p.m.
