CHS Music Boosters Meeting Minutes

March 1, 2007

Attendees

Tony Caracciolo, Cindy Lewis, Debbie Ruark, Tammy Richards, Jeff Richards, Moe Ruark, Allison Croft, and Susan Stephey.

Call to Order

• The Music Boosters meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Tony Caracciolo.

Treasurer’s Report

• Debbie Ruark presented the budget. The Music Boosters are faced with raising approximately $6,000 to return the Music Boosters account balance to $16,000 by June 1, 2007. The budget was motioned to be approved by Allison Croft and seconded by Moe Ruark.

Music Director’s Report

• Derrick Askew was not present at the meeting.

Choral Director’s Report

• Allison Holiday was not present at the meeting.

Ways and Means Committee

• GL Scrip card program. POC is Suzanne Reamer. A list of all participating businesses is available at www.glscrip.com. Suzanne’s e-mail is suzo@dellmail.com.
• Pizza Hut “Knights”. Future Pizza Hut “knights” scheduled: Mar 28^th, Apr 25^th, and May 23^rd. Mention Century HS Music Program and 20% of the total order will be given to Century Music Boosters. This applies to dine-in and carry-out orders.
• Raffle. The music program students will sell tickets to raffle off a laptop computer. The drawing will be held on June 1^st during the Century morning announcements.
• Vera Bradley “Bag” Bingo. May 12^th in the CHS cafeteria. Doors open at 6:00p.m. Games begin at 7:00 p.m. Watch for information concerning sponsoring a bag, filling a bag, and various opportunities to help that night with concessions, bake sale table, tickets, selling additional bingo sheets, etc. Everyone’s help is needed and greatly appreciated.

Music Program Spring Trip.

• On March 5^th, there will be a parents meeting in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. to discuss trip details.

Adjournment

• Debbie Ruark motioned to adjourn at 8:53 p.m. and Cindy Lewis seconded.

Next Booster Meeting

• April 5, 2007 at 7:30 in the band room or media center.
